The ultimate daily trivia experience for fans of 1980s music. Test your knowledge of the decade that gave us MTV, synth-pop, hair metal, and some of the most iconic songs ever recorded.

Eugene Usow is the creator of 80s Music Chart Challenge and a lifelong 1980s music fan. He grew up glued to Casey Kasem's American Top 40 countdowns and never stopped digging into the stories behind the records.
Eugene hosts 80's Music Connection, an active online community where 80s music fans gather to listen, discuss, and celebrate the decade's chart history. That community - and years of conversations about obscure chart facts, forgotten B-sides, and disputed trivia answers - is what inspired this project.
The site's question library combines music research, editorial review, and carefully curated content focused on the artists, songs, and chart history of the 1980s. Every published question is reviewed for quality, accuracy, and relevance before appearing on the site.
Every day, 7 new trivia questions drop — 3 moderate, 3 hard, and 1 expert-level deep cut.
Play every day to build your streak. Consecutive days played keep your streak alive.
Climb the daily, streak, and accuracy leaderboards. See how you stack up against other 80s fans.

Every published question is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and relevance. The daily challenge intentionally mixes chart facts with albums, producers, soundtracks, awards, labels, and industry details — not just basic nostalgia trivia.
Every question in the 80s Music Chart Challenge is reviewed before publication to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance.
Questions are developed using Billboard chart history, artist information, and music reference materials relevant to the decade. Each question is reviewed for accuracy, fairness, and difficulty balance before being added to the daily rotation.
If you spot an error or disagree with an answer, you can flag it directly from the quiz results screen. Flagged questions are reviewed, and corrections are applied to the archive.
